In the footsteps of Don Bosco

First day

Check the group this morning and find the path to Holy Shroud. After ten years since the last Jubilee, the Holy Shroud will be exhibited again in the Cathedral of St. John in the heart of the city. A journey in stages will guide participants through the centuries to discover the history of the sacred cloth and devotion to it bestowed.

Lunch at local restaurant. You will taste traditional Piedmontese dishes prepared by expert chefs in respect of ancient traditions. In the afternoon the group will meet the guide for the Turin Piazza Castello Piazza Castello City Tour, you will see the curtain of the old baroque buildings (Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama, armory, library …). You will enter the Church of San Lorenzo, considered one of the three hundred most beautiful churches in the world, creation of Guarino Guarini. Following Carignano Palace, home of the First Parliament of Italy and through the tunnel Subalpina Nouveau, will return in Piazza Castello.

A final visit to the Mother House of Turin Valdocco discovering the sacred places Salesians who were witnesses of a major part of the life of St. John Bosco. Dinner and overnight at the hotel we selected.

Second day

Guided tour of the historic town of Chieri. The morning will be devoted to visiting places of Don Bosco. We will walk the streets of downtown to the discovery of basic facts and figures for the training of the future saint. In particular, we will stop at the center of San Felipe where the young John Bosco attended the seminar where one night and appeared in a dream his friend Louis Comollo that proved his salvation.

The itinerary will also touch some of the most beautiful and important churches. Lunch at local restaurant. Scenic route through the hills of Turin. Visit to Colle Don Bosco, a place that gave birth St. John Bosco 16 August 1815. The itinerary includes the Temple of Don Bosco, with the upper church and the church below, and places related to the life of the saint, whose birthplace, the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians and the Museum of Country Life. End of service and return.

The cost for a group of 50 participants is $ 133.00 per person, including:

- 1 overnight stay with half board (drinks included ¼ wine and ½ water)
- 2 lunches at local restaurants (including drinks and wine ¼ ½ water)
