Il Centro Visite Don Bosco rappresenta il punto focale del percorso di visita urbana dedicato alla figura del Santo e al decennio che visse a Chieri. L’ex seminario rappresenta infatti una tappa fondamentale nel percorso di fede del giovane Bosco: qui egli si formò e strinse una profonda amicizia con Luigi Comollo, che morì prematuramente e gli rivelò -appena defunto- di essersi salvato; la camerata, dormitorio al tempo della prematura scomparsa del giovane, è situata al primo piano.
Il percorso interno di visita prevede una prima sosta all’interno della sala accoglienza, nella quale un video promozionale è dedicato alla città di Chieri, e prosegue poi lungo il corridoio in cui una lapide ricorda l’episodio miracoloso; di fronte si apre la cosiddetta “Stanza del Sogno”, la camerata del seminario destinata a dormitorio. In questo ampio ambiente vengono presentati -con pannelli e proiezioni video- quattro spazi tematici:

- la Chieri ottocentesca: descrizione del contesto cittadino, in cui visse il giovane Bosco, sotto il profilo storico, socio-politico, economico, culturale e religioso;

- la scuola e il lavoro: descrizione del contesto in cui Bosco studiò, si formò spiritualmente e lavorò per mantenersi agli studi; attraverso l’allestimento viene riprodotto un angolo di aula scolastica ottocentesca; il tema del lavoro è rappresentato da utensili di una piccola bottega di falegnameria e da oggettistica di sartoria;

- l’amicizia e la Società dell’Allegria, fondata da Bosco insieme ai giovani chieresi con l’intento di creare uno spazio di aggregazione, studio e formazione morale;

- il seminario: l’ultimo ambiente è interamente dedicato agli anni che Bosco trascorse in seminario fra disciplina, studio e preghiera.

Il Centro visite è aperto al pubblico il martedì dalle 9 alle 13 e il sabato dalle 14 alle 18, via V. Emanuele II, 63.

An exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the Holy officially opened the route Don Bosco: the city tour including “totem” that recount significant events occurring in different places the city is enriched by a further important step.

From July, you can visit the temporary exhibition entitled “Like a dream. Life and work Don Bosco “, held at the premises of St. Philip. Through short and intense  texts, the visitor can know and understand the deeper meaning of the work and thought of Don Bosco.

To introduce some steps of a famous speech from the same Marittima in Nice in 1877, from which emerge the principles that mark the educational activities conducted by Don Bosco and his “unique” relationship with young people. The exhibition continues with a series of panels that explore the most significant features of extraordinary personality of the Saint: charisma, sensitivity as well as large capacity, endurance, dedication and diplomatic skills.

Today textile production plays a less important in the productive citizens, many still remain the testimony of a story long and important.

The year 1961 was the official inauguration of the museum, which coincides with the centenary celebrations of the anniversary of 1 Unity of Italy. Designed by Oberto Spinola, the first director of the Museum, and set in 16 rooms taken from the cellars of the eighteenth century villa, which was seat of the first Martini & Rossi Pessione, village of Chieri, the Museum has its ideal location between the bricks view of the walls and often perfectly preserved.

Presented in thematic order, we follow ancient rituals and symbolic objects, amphorae and vases of ancient times from the second millennium BC until the Roman Imperial age, large presses wooden carts to transport grapes and barrels, crystal and silver Precious next to filters and copper stills first witnesses of a new era, the industrial, which has contributed enormously to broaden the knowledge and techniques in the wine industry.

The protagonists in this collection, first in Europe in its field, are all subject to one common denominator: the wine and his long history, linked inextricably to that of man and its evolution through the centuries.
